Welcome Everyone! I did not plan to talk so I did not have my mic connected. Thank you all for coming tonight.

52:02
did one way traffic get shot down by the city?

55:28
Can a larger growing tree (same or similar species) to the memorial tree be planted in front of the multi purpose room? Instead of that small kind that is the same as the ones on the divide/island?

55:56
Also more benches around the large trees?

57:14
yes

59:07
fair enough

01:00:24
one way doesn’t sound like a great idea. all of us that come from Bayo area come West down Dowling

01:00:35
wasn't one of the reasons we put in the cross walk was to encourage parents to walk their children to school vs. more cars in then neighborhood. It looks like this will increase traffic on our street as we'll probably take more traffic from Dutton.

01:01:01
not on board for one way!

01:02:13
just to maintain flow of traffic not dropping off...is what i was thinking...bayo is really not that far away

01:03:39
This looks great! I was involved in collecting data and meeting about safer drop off and entry. Dowling is a main thorough fair from MacArthur to Bancroft. The crosswalk is positioned perfectly with this design. The ADA parking is needed and should be left at 4 spaces.

01:03:56
yes, a drop off is a great idea and this looks nice.

01:04:06
I would like to ask a few questions

01:05:48
What about moving drop off to Dutton ave where you could access more parking on school grounds? also, it would create parking for the pool

01:11:15
I have concerns over any projects that result in the loss of green space while also increasing green house emmisions - the latter resulting from an increase in car utilization. if we make it easier to drive more poeple will drive.

01:13:11
yes, especially if you need to pick up kids from school who are sick and such for emergencies

01:14:27
We like this currently shown option and it still maintains some green space to the left and has a walk way that doesn’t go through the roundabout

01:15:58
and remember, all of Bayo neighborhood is zoned for Roosevelt and it’s much harder to walk to school from there. but agree, those who live in the flats around school should walk

01:17:28
Last question, any thoughts on a canopy over the entry door?

01:17:42
The large tree that may be removed in front of the classrooms in this design contributed to kids allergies whenever it was windy.
